About The Show

After the success of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa lil’ Champs 2006 it’s producers decided to offer the Hindi-singing little people around the globe a chance in the lime lights too. So friday night (October 19) the first show of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs International 2007 was brought to you by ZeeTV!

The host:
Aditya Narayan – Former host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge 2007, singer and ‘actor’ will now be hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs International 2007.

The judges:
Sonu Nigam – India’s leading singer who in the past was a host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. After a hiatus of 8 years (The man was terribly busy with scoring hit after hit) he’s back on the sets of SR GMP ready to judge the next generation of singers.

Suresh Wadkar - A well know Marathi and Hindi playback singer and the second judge of SRGMP L’il Champs.

There is no information available yet about any third judge. Most likely we will see a lot of celebrity guest appearances on the show.

The format:
This is India your talking about! No matter what the format is, it will be just as a fickle as a young girls heart and can change several times before we come to a tedious end.

This year it will be again a public voting competition with 28 contestants all under the age of 14. The auditions for the India contestant were held in Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. Also was announced that this time, as the title of the show implies, children from 10 different countries around the globe would participate in the race to become the final champ. Now here’s where the head scratching already starts. According to Wikipedia the auditions were held in the following countries: United Kingdom, Dubai, South Africa, Malaysia, Pakistan, Kenya, New Zealand, Singapore, Fiji, Australia, Israel, Hong Kong and the US of A.

I might have a serious counting problem but those are 13 different countries am I right?

When and Where:
On Zee TV, Friday and Saturday at 10 PM. Unfortunately the website of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs International 2007 is still not up so for those who are not able to watch ZeeTV I would suggest PARILOK or ZEE TV VIDEOS or You can get the links from here as an alternative.
